Today, I'm honored to be in Taipei to share with you a spiritual feast, a sharing session on dreams, choices, and success. I come from a small village in southern Malaysia. From a young age, I've deeply understood the truth: "Education can change your destiny."

The Path to Extraordinary Freedom

This is what I heard from my teachers and parents, and it is also a belief I firmly believed in. I studied hard and squeezed into a university, thinking that a diploma in economics would allow me to live a successful life from then on.

But reality was harsh. In 1986, Malaysia was hit by an economic recession, and I, a university graduate, was unemployed. To survive, I took a job as a door-to-door salesman, where I was chased by dogs, rejected by people, and even forced to live on bread and water. That night, with tears streaming down my face, I asked God, "I worked so hard, why did I end up like this?"

Later, I understood the saying, "If a person has never cried at night, he certainly doesn't understand what life is." That tearful experience wasn't a failure, but rather the nourishment for my future success. It taught me that hard work alone isn't enough; you must choose the right platform and the right track. If you're on the wrong track, no amount of effort will be in vain.

Is network marketing a business?

When I first heard about "network marketing", my reaction was the same as many people's: "Don't come to me, it's a pyramid! It's all done by old ladies!" Our negative impression of network marketing is like the famous "old woman and girl" illusion picture, which depends on your perspective.

When I put aside my prejudices and truly entered this "house" to understand, I discovered that this is a seriously misunderstood global industry. It is not just about recruiting, it is a real business with six irrefutable advantages:

 

1. A globally recognized industry: This is an industry with a turnover of tens of billions of US dollars and more than 100 million people engaged in it. It is a legal and regulated industry in many countries around the world and has broad prospects.

 

2. Low risk, high accessibility: It is a typical SOHO (small office/work at home) business. You can start it at home with very little start-up capital, very low threshold and very little risk.

 

3. Real business model: Its business model has been proven successful in advanced countries such as the United States. We are following a successful system rather than groping blindly.

 

4. Skill Development and Personal Growth: This is a "life university." It will train you in sales, communication, time management, emotional management, and leadership. It will completely transform you from an introvert to a capable public speaker.

 

5. Group and support system: You're not fighting alone. You have a support system, and partners to teach and support you, making your success replicable.

 

6. Flexible and future-oriented: It offers flexible working hours and can be started part-time, making it very suitable for the gig economy and the social media era. It is a model that has been proven to be able to withstand economic downturns.

It was these six points that convinced me to start my network marketing career as a part-time worker.

Not long after, I read Robert Kiyosaki's "Rich Dad, Poor Dad." The Cash Flow Quadrant Theory in the book was like a beacon that illuminated my path. He tells us that there are four types of people in the world:

•  E (employee): Exchange time for income, income is capped, and promotion is restricted by others.
•  S (self-employed/small boss): It seems freedom, but you still use your own time and labor to make money. Once you stop working, your income stops.
•  B (Entrepreneur): Own a system and let the system work for him, and the income can be unlimited.
•  I (Investor): Let money work for him.

Kiyosaki emphasized the importance of bravely moving from the E and S quadrants on the left to the B and I quadrants on the right. He pointed out that network marketing is the best platform for ordinary people to learn how to become B-quadrant entrepreneurs. Here, you don't exchange time for money, but rather utilize your time through a system. If you have a hundred partners, and each one works for an hour, you gain a hundred hours of productivity. This convinced me that I must earn my first pot of gold here before becoming an investor and gaining extraordinary freedom.

Four Pillars of Success

After understanding the beauty of the industry, the more crucial question is: how to ensure success? I have been deeply involved in the industry for nearly 40 years and have seen countless ups and downs. The key to success or failure lies in whether you choose the right "Four Pillars":

 

1. Company: The company's background, the founder's philosophy, and their commitment determine how long you'll stay. Some companies might fail in just three or five years, but we chose companies like Total Swiss, which has experienced unwavering growth for over a decade, ultimately becoming one of the world's top ten companies. 2. Compensation Plan: There's no such thing as a good or bad compensation plan; the key is fairness—the more you contribute, the more you get, and the less you contribute, the less you get. 3. Products: Products determine the scale of a business. The market for a single product is limited; a company must offer a diverse, unique, and reusable product line. High-quality products speak for themselves and earn long-term customer trust and support. They are the cornerstone of a business.

 

4. Support system: This determines your success or failure. No matter how great your company or product is, without a strong training system, how can ordinary people become outstanding leaders? Under the careful guidance of leaders like Dr. Wang, our support system is the key to transforming ordinary people into outstanding leaders.

Your partner is not some new startup, but a well-established multinational corporation ranked tenth in the world. You only need to focus on one thing: expanding the market and attracting more people to join and use your product. The rest is left to the company and the system.

From " dispenser " to "developer and influencer"

There's a huge gap between knowing and doing. This gap is our mindset. German philosopher Arthur Schopenhauer once said, "The greatest prison in the world is our brain."

Many of us fail to succeed because we're trapped in our own mindsets. Let's take a pharmacist as an example. In the past, you were a "dispenser," passively serving patients behind the counter. Now, the mindset shift you need is:

•  From Dispenser to Developer: You are no longer the person who dispenses medicine, but a developer and influencer who leads the promotion of the health industry.
•  From passive to active: You need to take the initiative to walk out of the counter, connect with people, and meet people.
•  

From Protocol to People Skill: You need to shift from focusing on standard procedures to learning how to communicate with people and inspire motivation.

•  From talking about products to telling stories: From instruction manual-style product introductions to sharing health concepts and success stories.

This isn't a downgrade; it's an evolution! You've ascended from serving one patient to impacting hundreds or thousands of families, providing them with health and economic insights. Your expertise is your "sword," and now you must wield it on a broader battlefield.

The approach is simple: hold health seminars in-store, turning the store into a community health center. Actively participate in community activities and connect with others. The most challenging part isn't the method, but the mindset shift. Once your mindset shifts and your horizons broaden, a never-ending supply of new ideas will emerge.

Eight extraordinary benefits that network marketing brings you

When you choose the right platform and change your mindset, you will gain not only money, but an all-round extraordinary life:

 

1. Financial freedom: Network marketing brings continuous, cumulative income. It's not a small business with ups and downs, but rather a snowball that grows bigger and bigger. Once you build a system, as Warren Buffett said, "True freedom is when your system earns money while you sleep." This is the power of passive income.

5. Travel and lifestyle rewards: The company's three to four overseas trips each year force me to take a break from work and travel with my family and business partners. I've been to 45 countries, and the quality time I've spent with my loved ones is one of my most treasured memories and a true lifestyle reward.

 

6. Helping others: The most prominent cornerstone of this industry is "helping others succeed, and you succeed." We are taught to sincerely wish our partners success, because their success will enhance your own success. In a world where people often "be jealous of seeing others succeed," this is undoubtedly a valuable lesson.

 

7. Legacy and Security: Your business can be "accumulated." This reminds me of Rich Dad's emphasis on building assets. The organization and recurring income you build here are powerful assets. It's not just your immediate income, but also your retirement pension and your children's and grandchildren's education funds—the promise of a legacy business.

 

8. Low Risk, High Potential: This business can easily expand internationally. What other business allows you to expand into global markets with minimal risk? The company assumes all administrative and product risks, leaving you with unlimited potential.

 

Stand on the right stage and show your strength

Friends, let me share a story. In 2007, world-class violinist Joshua Bell played for 43 minutes at a subway station in Washington, D.C., . Almost no one stopped to listen, and he earned just over $30. But three days earlier, he played the same piece at a concert hall, with tickets costing hundreds of dollars and a packed house.
