The following are highlights from Dr. Wang's speech in Kuala Lumpur on September 26:
Today, I want to talk to you about more than just a health lecture. It's about the complete mindset we've developed over the past seventeen years, from products and knowledge to tools, and finally to our business.
We sell health knowledge and nutrition.
First, I want to establish the most important concept: we are not selling medicine, we are selling nutritional supplements.
Medications should not be taken in excess because they have dosage limits and side effects. Overdosing can even lead to more side effects than benefits. Nutrition, however, is entirely different. The concept of nutrition is consuming enough food to feel full. Just like eating, if you only eat until you're half full, you'll still feel hungry. We control every cell in our bodies. If you only feed your cells until they're half full, they will also feel dissatisfied and protest.
I used to spend a lot of time teaching people how to take it, reminding them to take it two to three times a day, but many people would automatically reduce the dosage after going home. The reasons are simple: first, they are afraid of spending money; second, they are afraid of taking an overdose and causing side effects.
Later, I decided to use the most direct method to popularize this idea. I remember when we first participated in an exhibition, each person was initially limited to three drinks. Then I thought, since everyone is so afraid of overeating, why not try "unlimited drinks"? As a result, after the unlimited drinks, no one only drank one or two drinks; many people drank five or six drinks, and some even deliberately saved their morning drinks for the free drinks. The record was that someone drank 18 drinks on the first day, and by the fourth day, many people felt a significant improvement in their energy, stamina, and complexion.
This proves one thing: we are not just selling products; we are selling knowledge.
Unleash consumers' real needs
Total Swiss has been around for seventeen years. If I were just selling products, I would have gone crazy long ago. There are only a few products, but people's needs are constantly changing, so we hold health seminars one after another.
Health seminars sell "knowledge." If you directly ask someone to pay for products, they will resist; but if you teach them about health and their body's true needs, without requiring upfront payment, everyone is willing to listen. As they gradually develop the concept that "healthy cells mean a healthy body," they will discover their own needs and automatically seek out products.
Feeling good about oneself, others seeing the change, and scientific data verification.
Once people develop health awareness and a need for health, their next question will be: How can I determine if this product is truly effective?
Therefore, we designed a three-phase promotion plan:
Feeling good about yourself (proactive): You need to find the product palatable, not unpalatable, to be willing to drink it daily. Our white and black teas both contain minerals, vitamins, fiber, and enzymes. Frankly, vitamin C is too sour, the B vitamins taste strange, minerals taste like rust, and fermented enzymes taste even worse. But I insist on making the product taste good so that everyone will enjoy a cup every morning. If someone finds it bitter or unpalatable, it usually indicates a potential health problem.
Others see the change (passive verification): After drinking it for a few days, it's not enough for you to just say you feel better; you need to get the people around you to actively notice: "Why does your complexion look better lately? Why are you moving faster?"
Scientific Data Verification (Objective Evidence): Subjective feelings are not enough; we must provide scientific evidence. Therefore, we introduced a tool—a blood test report. Consumers can have their blood tested and see for themselves the changes in their data before and after consuming the product.
Knowledge plus tools can be upgraded into a powerful business.
At Total Swiss, you can't just learn to buy and sell products; you must learn how to teach. You need to pass on your health knowledge to newcomers, becoming a knowledge transmitter, while also mastering the tool of "blood testing."
People from other direct selling companies in Taiwan used to joke, "Total Swiss is terrifying. Once someone has tried their products and then gets a blood test, they probably won't come back." This is because we cleverly used this process: we didn't rush to sell, but first let them experience the products, understand their own health issues, and then took them for tests. After seeing the data firsthand, their thinking completely changed.
Share a cup of Fit Solution, take your customers for blood tests, and the expansion rate will be very fast.
Many people think that the "system" of Network Marketing is very complicated, but in fact the system is just a production line.
Find a new person, put them on this production line: let them experience the products, teach them health knowledge, show them how to use blood testing tools, and then have them pass on this method to the next person.
In the past, when Taiwanese leaders promoted the "buy six, get one free" promotion, the rules were very strict: the six sets purchased could only be used personally; the set given away by the company absolutely could not be kept by the individual and had to be divided into 30 portions to be given away. This was because if the free set was consumed, it would be impossible to build new organizations or networks. At that time, everyone shared it cup by cup, and the organization developed very rapidly.
Partnerships that transcend traditional business management
Many people say this industry is very lucrative, but to be honest, money doesn't fall from the sky; you need to put in the effort in the right way.
Network marketing is a "people-to-people" business model. The relationship between a company and its partners is not a traditional superior-subordinate relationship, but a partnership.
We need to manage not only the business, but also "partner management." If you treat this business merely as a transaction without providing education and training or making good use of tools, you'll find it difficult to grow.
