Total Swiss's Cultural Core –
The "Wisdom of Staying Healthy"
From the very beginning, what we sell goes beyond the product itself. We sell a fundamental health concept, a methodology that people can master. Everyone talks about "health," but few can truly define it, and even fewer can offer an effective method for achieving true wellness.
Therefore, I devoted considerable effort to weaving these core ideas into a set of principles and theories that could be passed down through generations. Finally, one day, our partners in Taiwan mentioned a very apt and vivid phrase, one that had long been a part of our daily conversations: "the wisdom of staying healthy." These six words have since become deeply ingrained in the hearts of every Total Swiss partner.
Let's begin with the human cycle of birth, aging, sickness, and death. We have no choice about our birth. Who wouldn't want to be born into royalty? Who wouldn't want to be born into a wealthy family? But we can't choose. Similarly, aging and death are inevitable. Everyone pursues immortality, but this is just a wishful thinking; no one can escape it. The only thing we can hope for is to die of old age—not from illness, but to live out our lives naturally, at an advanced age, free from illness and pain.
To "die of old age" requires immense good fortune. Throughout life, the vast majority of people—99.99% of them—ultimately die of illness. Therefore, if you can "stay healthy," you have the opportunity to achieve the complete and rare trajectory of life: birth, aging, illness, and death.
However, staying healthy is a huge undertaking and difficult to achieve. Why? Because staying healthy isn't knowledge, skill, or chance. It's a form of wisdom.
Many people equate "health" with "being healthy," but the answer is more complex than that. Different definitions of "disease" lead to different connotations of "being healthy." Therefore, how to interpret "health" is a challenge and responsibility we must face when sharing the concept of health.
What is the "wisdom of staying healthy"? The word "wisdom" must include four aspects:
Look at the big picture (comprehensiveness first): Be able to see all of your health conditions, not just one point.
Look at the key points (focus on core issues): Be able to accurately identify the core issues based on comprehensiveness.
Have countermeasures (propose solutions): not only be able to point out the problem, but also be able to propose specific and feasible solutions.
To be complete (safe and without side effects): The proposed solution will not solve the problem, but will cause another new problem.
I'm not teaching philosophy; I'm talking about practice. Next, I'll take you through the process, and you'll understand how these four levels of wisdom are put into practice.
We have summarized five core theories to explain health and built our "wisdom of staying healthy" system.
